Abu Dhabi, UAE – Venom Foundation, the development organization behind the Venom blockchain, has announced impressive results from its closed network stress test, achieving a throughput of 150,000 transactions per second (TPS) with transaction completion times under three seconds. This is a major milestone that paves the way for a planned Mainnet upgrade in Q3 2025, making Venom one of the highest-performing public blockchains on the market today.
“Throughput means nothing if it can’t maintain reliability under pressure,” said Christopher Louis, CEO of Venom. “Our new technology stack can handle enterprise-grade workloads without increasing costs or sacrificing decentralization – essential for exchanges, game developers, and financial service providers.”
Core breakthroughs:
Large-scale performance: The DAG consensus protocol enables the system to reach the potential of 400,000+ TPS under aggregate conditions while ensuring instant transaction finality.
Fair transaction ordering: The distributed ordering layer turns the DAG into a single linear chain, preventing MEV and fraudulent behaviors such as front-running.
Parallel smart contracts: The actor-based model of TVM (Venom Virtual Machine) enables asynchronous calls, ideal for DeFi, GameFi, and micro-applications.
Deterministic Security: The authentication system reaches consensus only after 2n + 1 signatures are obtained, eliminating the possibility of forks and strengthening network reliability.
Light Footprint: Asynchronous block distribution reduces bandwidth costs, optimizing for operators and cloud infrastructure partners.
Roadmap:
Q2/2025 – Testnet: Public testnet deployment, security testing, development tools, and third-party auditing.
Q3/2025 – Mainnet Upgrade: In-place hard fork upgrade, migration to new network architecture.
Q4/2025 – Ecosystem expansion: Cross-chain bridge launch, full SDK release for developers.
Transparency Commitment
Venom commits to publishing all raw data, test scripts, and node configurations to public GitHub before testnet launch. Independent auditors are conducting detailed security and performance assessments to ensure the absolute reliability of the upgrade.
